If your power washer leaks water from the connection between the hose and inlet the seal and possibly the coupling on the inlet are likely broken and will need to be replaced. It wasn t coming from where i thought it should. The thermal release valve allows hot water to exit the pressure washer if the water temperature becomes excessively high. When a hose is attached it is screwed into the inlet coupling which holds the hose firmly and seals the connection so water does not leak out. Wanting to know if it is just a gasket issue that requires replacement or is the whole pump shot.

Leaking from between brass head on back of pump. If the pressure washer is left running while it is not spraying water the water in the pump will begin to heat up. There is no noise when running and all else is normal. This pressure washer was leaking oil.

Water sprays out of the pressure relief valve. When the thermal relief valve opens cool water enters the pump and cools the system. The thermal release valve allows hot water to exit the pressure washer if the water temperature becomes excessively high. Once the pump has cooled the thermal relief valve closes and the pressure washer operates normally.
